Winter Wonderland

A little bit of snow and alot of ice allowed for some fun sledding this weekend. Haley was fearless going down the big icy hill...I think I was more scared than she was! Charlie was a little more cautious but he had fun playing in the snow. The last picture is a little grainy, but it was taken on my cell phone this morning as we walked home from the grocery store. Haley pulled the sled full of groceries all the way home.

MLK in Blowing Rock

Sledding in the driveway and in the park while in the mtns worked out perfectly, especially since Charlie was too young for snow tubing. I think we'll stick with this for a while...its cheap and easy! Love that!

First Ski Trip

We took Haley skiing over MLK and she had a blast! She did ski wees ski-school and then enjoyed some time skiing with Daddy. Charlie and I just played in the snow and watched some of the action from the lodge. Check out our little ski bunny (#210):

Christmas, Take Two!

We got to celebrate two days in a row this year! Late Christmas day, we headed to Raleigh for a visit with Scott's family. We started all over the next day with another Christmas celebration. I got lucky before we opened gifts and was able to snap a great group photo on a timer...still can't believe that worked out! Haley posed with her matching Barbie outfit and Riley sported her new Moxey Girls costume. Mrs. Cannady does a pickle gift each year for the one who finds the hidden pickle in the tree. I found it this year...hooray!

He Came, He Came!!

This year, our theme was Barbie and Spiderman. Not intended but branding is in full effect on just about every item you can think of nowadays! Haley's big gift was a bike and Charlie got a scooter. Bebe and Poppy came over to watch them open gifts and they brought a set of Hulk Hogan gloves that were the highlight of the morning. A friend gave them to my mom for Charlie and she knew this was a winner...just imagine a deep voice saying "Hulk-Smash" everytime you hit something with these gloves.

If you can't read Haley's note to Santa, here goes. "Dear Santa, I have been very good this year. I want a Barbie, and The Snap Necklace and a crown. Thank you. I Love You, Haley."

Busy Christmas Activities
